Futures challenges with intraday drawdown

An intraday trailing limit uses equity — including floating profit — as its high-water mark. A trade that runs in your favour and comes back has already moved the floor, whether or not you banked anything.

29 options from 4 firms match, as of 2026-09-22.

What put an option on this list

  • Market is futures.
  • The maximum loss is published as trailing.
  • The firm states that the measurement is intraday.
  • Plans that publish no measurement are excluded rather than assumed to be intraday.

This is a filter, not a ranking. The order within each price group is by published amount; nothing on this page asserts that one option is better than another.

What this selection costs you

Give-back is charged at the peak
Unrealised profit you never realise still consumes allowance. This is the single largest practical difference between the two models.
Often the cheaper of the pair
Where a firm sells both, the intraday version is generally slightly less per month.
Suits strategies that bank quickly
If equity and balance rarely diverge in your trading, the model costs you very little.

Common questions

Is intraday trailing worse?
It is stricter for strategies that let winners run and give part back. For a scalping approach that closes quickly, the two models can behave almost identically.
Can I see both models from one firm?
Yes. Some firms publish an intraday and an end-of-day evaluation at the same account sizes, which is the cleanest way to price the difference.
