Futures prop firms

Firms that fund traders on exchange-listed futures. Terms here are usually expressed in currency rather than percentages, drawdown usually trails the account's high-water mark, and the measurement — end of day or intraday — decides how much room a strategy really has.

Rex holds 20 firms and 156 challenge options in this market, offering Instant, 1-step evaluations. Firms are ordered by how completely they are documented, never by quality.

What is different about this market

Rex uses one data model for both branches, but the fields that matter differ. These are the ones to read carefully here.

  • Limits are usually currency amounts. A $2,000 trailing limit is an absolute floor that moves with the account, so the same figure means something different on a $50,000 account than on a $150,000 one.
  • Drawdown usually trails. Rex always records where the trailing floor stops rising — at the initial balance, at the initial balance plus a buffer, or never — because that single detail changes the risk profile entirely.
  • Measurement matters more than the number. An intraday trailing limit counts unrealised profit and can move while a position is open; an end-of-day limit moves only at settlement.
  • The fee is often monthly, and funding often carries a separate activation fee. Rex records the subscription and the activation charge as different facts and never folds either into the other.
  • Position size is quoted in contracts, including micro contracts. Contracts and forex lots measure different things, so Rex never compares one against the other.

Max loss · trailing

A floor that rises as the account makes new highs. Rex always states where it stops rising, because a limit that trails forever behaves very differently from one that locks at the initial balance.

In this market: Usual; a currency amount that follows the high-water mark

Measurement · end of day and intraday

Intraday trailing counts unrealised profit, so the floor can move while a position is open. End-of-day trailing moves only at settlement, so an unrealised spike does not raise the floor. This single distinction changes how much room a strategy actually has.

In this market: Central to the product

Activation and reset fees

An activation fee is charged when a passed account is turned into a funded one; a reset fee restarts a failed attempt. Neither is folded into the price figure, because doing so would make a cheap-looking plan look cheaper than it is.

In this market: Activation at funding is common

Lots and contracts

Forex plans limit size in lots; futures plans limit it in contracts. They are different units measuring different things, so Rex shows each with its unit and never ranks one against the other.

Lowest published fees in this market

Ordered by the published fee within each currency and fee type. A low fee is not a recommendation; it is one published number among many.
