Programme
Loyalty programme
A way to reward the readers who make the record better — by reporting a changed rule, a dead link or a firm that stopped publishing something it used to.
Planned — not open yet
The terms below are what Rex commits to when the programme opens. Nothing here accepts a submission today, and no page pretends otherwise.
How it would work
- STEP 1
Report what changed
Spot a rule, price or payout condition that no longer matches what a firm publishes, and tell Rex where you saw it.
- STEP 2
Rex re-checks the source
Every report is verified against the firm's own page before anything in the record moves. A report that cannot be verified changes nothing.
- STEP 3
Credit where it counts
Confirmed reports earn standing in the programme. Rex will never pay for a positive review or a favourable placement, because that would make the record worthless.
The terms Rex commits to
Written before the programme exists, so they cannot be quietly softened once money is involved.
- Rewards attach to confirmed corrections of the record, never to reviews, ratings or referrals.
- A report that cannot be verified against a firm's published page does not qualify.
- Rex will not run a programme that pays for sentiment. That is the line between a record and an advert.
- The programme opens when there is an account system to attach it to. There is none today.
Questions
- Why not just pay for reviews?
- Because paid sentiment is worth nothing to a reader and would compromise every other number on the site. Corrections are different: they are checkable against a source.
- Can a firm join?
- Firms can report an error in their own entry through the for-firms route, and Rex will re-check the source. That correction is free and does not need a programme.
